Initially, you will focus on junior accounting duties, and as you grow, you will take on more advanced responsibilities.. Key responsibilities. Monitor and manage the accounting email inbox for clients.. Enter financial data, maintain records, and ensure accuracy in expense reports and financial statements.. Process accounts receivable and payable, ensuring timely and accurate transactions.. Handle payroll for multiple clients, ensuring compliance with regulations and timely payments.. Maintain subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, and recording financial transactions.. Keep detailed records of customer, vendor, and payroll data, maintaining an organized system for historic accounting records.. Prepare and reconcile balance sheets, including cash and credit card accounts.. Senior Accountant Transition Training & Growth Areas:. Conduct and review reconciliations for bank accounts, sub-ledgers, prepaid expenses, fixed assets, accrued liabilities, and notes payable.. Prepare and analyze financial statements for Accounting Manager review, summarizing account information and trends for clients.. Ensure compliance with document retention policies and accurate documentation of transactions.. Perform month-end close activities, including reconciliations and journal entries.. Ensure compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and other regulatory requirements. Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or equivalent experience; CPA/CA candidate is a plus.. 3+ years of previous experience in accounting, finance, or a related field is required.. Process-oriented with ability to follow specific directions and established processes if needed.. Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel is required; experience with platforms like Gusto, Bill, Ramp, or Xero is a plus. . Fundamental understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) with solid data entry skills and a natural comfort with numerical data.. Organizational skills with strong ability to prioritize tasks, multitask, and manage time effectively.. Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail in all tasks.
