The Product Counsel will work closely with cross-functional teams including Product, Engineering, Compliance, Risk, and Finance to ensure business growth is balanced with regulatory compliance. This hands-on role involves advising on complex regulatory frameworks, supporting product innovation, and influencing new market entry strategies. Provide legal guidance on regulatory matters affecting fintech products, including B2B lending, merchant cash advances, and other financial offerings.. . Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support product development, expansion into new markets, and customer experience initiatives.. . Summarize and analyze the impact of new regulations and applicable rules, offering practical recommendations for compliance.. . Advise business and compliance teams on AML/CTF, KYC/CDD, fraud prevention, and sanctions issues.. . Assist with drafting, planning, and implementing compliance policies and procedures.. . Manage licensing applications and compliance requirements for new and existing jurisdictions.. . Build trusted relationships with internal stakeholders and coordinate with outside counsel to synthesize legal advice for operational decisions.. . . 4+ years of experience in product counsel or regulatory matters, ideally within fintech, digital banking, payments, lending, or bank partnerships.. . Juris Doctor (J.D.) with active membership in at least one state bar.. . Strong understanding of fintech regulatory frameworks and third-party risk management.. . Excellent analytical, organizational, and project management skills.. . Ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively, adapting approach as needed.. .
